In case you are not familiar with BFM, here's a bit of a bio:
"Brigada Flores Magon, leading RASH skinhead band from Paris, France formed in September 1996 and continue today under the same lineup. Their unique musical style gives a nod to the traditional French and English punk and skinhead scenes with hard-hitting Oi anthems, balanced with occasional detours into traditional reggae and ska rhythms.
Named after one of the main figures of the Mexican revolution (Ricardo Flores Magon), Brigada is definitely a politicized band. However, they are absolutely not a propaganda band. They appeal to all fans of street music in their defense of the progressive aspects of working class subculture."
And, here's a review of their self-titled album which was released by Insurgence a little while back:
"I really like the EP these folx put out a few months back and am stoked to get to throw in my two cents about this red anarchist skinhead band from France. Mid-tempo yet quite catchy Oi! with traces of second wave (a la Two Tone) ska thrown in for good measure. Lotsa sing along choruses, accompanying songs singing the praises of left wing working class struggles world wide. Really good stuff in my book and this shit beats all that "apolitical" and "traditional" Oi! stuff any day of the week. Take a fucking stand for christ's sake! Red and Black on the attack!" Cheers!
