ok, i've heard some WP music, and i can honestly say that it is complete shit, and i'm looking into some insurgence stuff to hopefully prove that anti-fa music is much better. right now i am sampling stuff, so could you tell me what your favorite band is, and their best song so i can get a feel for this?

Siva,
Depends where your tastes lie, whether you're more into hardcore, streetpunk, or oi!.... but we've got a good range of each.
A good place to sample our music is on the Radio.Blog, found on the main page of our website. At the moment, the Boneyard sampler is streaming up there but normally we switch up the content with demo features and some of the material we distribute. This can sometimes be varied.
There are also free mp3s to be fond in our Downloads section. Soon we'll have a streaming radio station that features a wider range of material.
In terms of what we issue as a label, we tend to stick to hardcore and skinhead street music exclusively.
Enjoy!

I've liked everything I've heard from Insurgence, but my favorites right now have to be The Prowlers and Stage Bottles.

I have to concur: Insurgence has a pretty amazing track record in my mind- even if I haven't heard of a new band they're putting out I'll always check it out cause it usually turns out to be top-rate stuff. Most of the bands politics are pretty in tune with my own, but for the most part that's just an aside cause the music in the end dictates what I listen to. I think WP music is not just ignorant but a sick and distorted way of perceiving the world around you. Some people say they listen to certain WP bands cause the music is good regardless of the message but I completely disagree with that justification. There' so much good music you could never be exposed to it all so why you'd waste your time poisoning your mind because some bonehead can put a couple of chords together is beyond me. I think street music's appeal is that it speaks to people who feel like outsiders whether it be on a class level, political level, or even personal level and for people to take that in order to espouse hatred and intolerance is a flat-out perversion of Oi! music and the skinhead culture. Whoa- I'm ranting now...really I just want to say Insurgence is in my mind, hands-down the best street music label going right now regardless of what your politics are- the bands rock harder than anyone!

If you're looking further afield, the UK's finest are Runnin Riot, Bottle Job and The Oppressed, all antifa Oi!, and easy to locate online.
In terms of the rest of Europe, there's loads... my own current favourites include No Respect, Scrapy and Stage Bottles (all German), Red Union (Serbia), Opcio K-95 (Catalunya) and Youngang (Italy), but there's hundreds more bands out there with sound ideas producing good, innovative street music.
Try some European labels and distros like Mad Butcher, Fire & Flames etc for a good variety of punk, ska, HC etc with strong working-class, anti-fascist ideas.
Have fun, CHIP
