As of the 22nd of February, Fire and Flames is proud to present its two newest productions…
First and foremost, the new Jeunesse Apatride album, “La Victoire Sommeille.” The same melodic oi/streetpunk sound, incredible dual female vocals, rocking guitars, and lyrics full of rage, revolt, resistance, and revolution. The band has now developed a tighter and more mature sound, complemented by a much better recording quality than on “Black Bloc N Roll”.
Nine excellent tracks, including a cover of the Street Troopers classic “On the Streets of Montreal.”
You can listen to mp3s from “La Victoire Sommeille” and “Iraq” on our website and pre-order now. If you want to receive the CD soon ,we highly suggest pre-ordering since we will be away on the 23rd of February for several weeks and no orders will be shipped then.
US AND CANADA: You can order via Interpunk as of the 1st of March
Arriving on the same day is the “Hate the State” Fire and Flames label sampler. It includes two songs from each previous Fire and Flames production, as well as two songs from each of the releases we have scheduled for the year 2005. This means elegant oi and streetpunk from Brigada Flores Magon and Opcio K-95; punk rock from Jeunesse Apatride and the Argies, and dancing beats from Obrint Pas, Dulces Diablitos, and Rogue Steady Orchestra. You can check the track listing as well as listen to a few mp3s on our website.
The sampler costs only 4 euros and is……………
FREE WHEN YOU ORDER MORE THAN 30,00 EUR (NETTO).
US AND CANADA: You can order via Interpunk as of the 1st of March
In other music related news, Fire and Flames presents to you the new additions to our roster for 2005….
-The Argies: The classic Argentine Clash style punk rock band which everyone in Germany should already know (they have played almost 100 concerts here) has decided to give us the pleasure of releasing their next production, “Donde el Viento Lleva,” as a CD and LP. The release is scheduled for the 1st of May and will be followed by a three month European tour. Their punk rock with ska, reggae, and latin influences should definitely not be missed! You can check our website for some Argies mp3s as well as the already confirmed tourdates.
-Dulces Diablitos: Yet another Argentine band, this time playing traditional ska. Formed in 1999 this 9 piece outfit blends the best of smooth ska, with rocksteady, pop, and Jamaican sounds, delivered with dual male/female vocals that will have you grooving the night away. You can listen to them on our label sampler and wait impatiently for the release of “Infierno en el Tropico” late in 2005.
-Rogue Steady Orchestra: In the healthy Göttingen ska-punk tradition comes this new band following in the No Respect musical steps. Singing in German, with a clear political and social stand, their mixed sound will have you rocking and skanking in no time.
Finally, this summer will see the release of the first-ever, and now classic, Brigada Flores Magon release on vinyl. Definitely a must!
And of course, as always we have been regularly updating our music catalog (clothes as well, but that’s a whole different email!) with lots of new and great oi, ska, and punk from around the world. Go have a look!
